What this site is
We connect parents and students with private tutors. We are a marketplace: the lesson is a contract between the parent and the tutor. Tutors are independent - they set their own prices, choose which students to take, and decide their own hours.
Booking and paying
Parents pay when they book. We hold that money and release it to the tutor after the lesson is confirmed. A service charge is added to the parent's total and shown before payment.
We take a commission from the tutor's rate. The current rate is shown to tutors in their dashboard before they accept any booking.
Cancelling
A lesson cancelled with at least the stated notice is refunded in full. Less notice than that, and the lesson may be charged.
If a tutor does not turn up, the parent receives credit and the tutor is penalised.
Keeping lessons on the platform
Contact details may not be exchanged in messages, and lessons arranged off the platform are not covered by our refund promise or payment protection. Repeatedly trying to move off the platform leads to a warning and then removal.
Tutors
Tutors confirm that everything on their profile is true, that they hold any permit the law requires for private teaching, and that they are entitled to work in the country where they teach.
We check ID and certificates before a profile goes live, but we are not the tutor's employer.
Ending an account
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, puts a child at risk, or tries to defraud another user.
This is a plain-English starting point, not legal advice. Have a UAE lawyer read it before you take real payments.
